Description:This position provides technical support of Production Operations at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Troy, Alabama. The job duties include (1) Design, development and implementation of manufacturing processes, (2) Detailed work instructions, (3) special tooling / equipment and production floor support required to assemble and test a variety of military missiles. The role requires the ability to:

Interpret engineering requirements from product data models, drawings, parts lists and specifications.

Conduct detailed failure analysis.

Develop root cause and implement the corrective / preventative actions.

Demonstrate effective interpersonal.

Communication skills including oral, listening, technical writing and visual presentations.

Have a high level of mechanical hands-on abilities.

The Locale: Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troys climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small- town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Floridas Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.
Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist selected candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting

Working knowledge of General Manufacturing Processes and Lean Six Sigma tools

Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

**Note this is a 2nd shift role with hours of 4pm to 2:30am, Monday through Thursday.

**Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment
Desired Skills:
Two or more years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree

Manufacturing background with automation and shop floor experience

Ability to read and interpret GD&T and complex engineering drawings and specifications

Working knowledge / experience with ordnance assembly process methods and work instructions

Experience with Aerospace / Automotive paint / coating automation equipment and processes

Familiarity with SAP MES tools in a manufacturing environment

Familiarity with ISO9000 and AS9100 industry standards, ASME Y-14.5 and common military specifications

Working knowledge with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) programmable logic controllers (PLC), FANUC robotics and computer numerical control (CNC) programming from computer aided design (CAD) models is a plus
