As a Principal Specialist, Supplier Material Verification Engineer, you will be an integral part of a dynamic, cross-functional team working in a fast-paced environment filled with stimulating challenges and opportunities. Your hands-on expertise will directly impact our supplied material inspection processes and products, playing a crucial role in advancing Raytheon Supplier Qualitys success. This position is an on-site role, providing you with the chance to collaborate closely with teams and make a tangible difference.
What You Will Do:
Identify and manage supplied non-conforming material, ensuring high standards of quality.
Support Return to Vendor (RTV) activities to maintain seamless operations.
Engage daily with cross-functional teams including technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, supply chain, maintenance, production control, and the program management office to achieve organizational goals.
Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures, maintaining a high level of integrity.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using CORE methodologies.
Work directly with Raytheon suppliers to expedite the closure of material on hold, fostering strong supplier relationships.
Collaborate with inspectors to ensure efficient processing of materials through inspection after engineering disposition, optimizing workflow.
Make critical decisions that affect program build time while adhering to quality requirements, demonstrating leadership and technical acumen.
Qualifications You Must Have:
A University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
Knowledge of PRISM, Business Warehouse, and RCAS, enhancing your ability to manage and analyze data effectively.
Competency and experience in a relevant technical discipline, with a strong understanding of engineering principles and design analysis techniques.
Experience in supporting design and/or manufacturing processes, contributing to the development and production of high-quality products.
Experience working in the Aerospace and Defense industry

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
