PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer – Missile System Design to join our partner, a leading innovator in the aerospace industry. This is a hands-on, high-impact role supporting next-generation missile system development in Chandler, AZ.
Make an Impact in Advanced Defense EngineeringIn this role, you will contribute directly to the mechanical design, analysis, and testing of critical missile system components. Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you will apply creativity, technical excellence, and problem-solving expertise to support complex, high-visibility aerospace programs.
What You’ll Do• Perform mechanical analysis, CAD design, and/or mechanical testing for missile system products
• Utilize advanced structural and product design engineering tools and CAD software (Siemens NX preferred)
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure robust and accurate designs
• Adapt proven features from heritage designs while introducing innovative solutions
• Contribute to design, development, analysis, and testing across project phases
• Develop and execute test programs for materials and structural components
• Manage fabrication and testing activities, including documentation and reporting
• Present project status, test data, and analysis findings to internal and external customers
Required Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 2+ years of engineering experience, or a Master’s degree in STEM with 1+ year
•This position requires a security clearance, and candidates are required to be U.S. Citizens. -
• Experience with mechanical engineering design, analysis, or testing
Preferred Qualifications• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• 3–15 years of mechanical engineering experience
• Hands-on mechanical integration experience, ideally in aerospace
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Siemens NX and GD&T application

Pay Details: $48.95 per hour
