Provide Thermodynamic, Environmental Control System and distribution systems, develop system requirements, criteria documents, establish sub-contractor Statements Of Work and control plans for an ongoing aircraft development program. Support proposal activity and business capture team. Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
• Experience in developing and decomposing system level and component level requirements
• Demonstrated knowledge of fluid system design (fuel systems, thermal management systems, environmental control systems)
• Solid proficiency in physics-based, system modeling software (Matlab/Simulink, Siemens Amesim a plus)
• Strong grasp of system modeling best practices, system model troubleshooting
• Ability to model and assess component and system dynamic characteristics, failure modes
• Experience with 3DX / CATIA is a plus

Contractor is expected to be able to:
• Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
• Work performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and approaches to assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective, for desired results.
• Guides the successful completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives.
• Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

Required Skills:
• Masters or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Experience with Fluids system (fuel, hydraulics, and/or ECS - Environmental Control Systems) and/or subsystems design,
development, and/or systems integration experience
• Fluids system and/or subsystems analysis experience (component, architecture, and controls definition)
• Supplier Management (Fluids component specific)
