Boeing Brazil is seeking Mid-Career Electrical Electrical Design Engineer, reporting to the Electrical Installation and Electromagnetic Effects Engineering Manager, working out of the São José dos Campos office.

The Mid-Career Electrical Electrical Design Engineer will work with the Boeing Commercial Aircraft engineering global team to support the certification of large aircraft and to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements and procedures defined in the company’s Design Organization Handbook (DOH).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes functional and physical input to ensure the development of complete integrated cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.

  • Develops and maintains Schematics and Functional Diagrams, cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs for new product development and legacy programs.

  • Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.

  • Participate on Design reviews.

  • Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical products.

  • Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.

This position is hybrid/telecommuting. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.

  • Proficient in both written and verbal English.

  • Proficient on aircraft development programs and electrical aircraft subsystems.

  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Electronics, Mechanical, or related technical discipline.

  • Experience working across different engineering disciplines, customers and suppliers.

  • Experience with Electrical Computer Aided Design tools.

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Aeronautic related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical and engineering education and experience.

  • Ability to help develop, mentor and coach less experienced staff

  • Ability to work on multiple programs with varying level of requirements efficiently and effectively.

  • Experience with FAA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including FAR-25 requirements. (relevant to EWIS)

  • Understanding of separation requirements regarding EMC, Redundancy and survivability.

  • Understanding of industry standards such as AS50881 or equivalents.

  • Participated on product development and/or post production reconfiguration.

  • Knowledge of electrical bonding and grounding requirements.

  • Master degree on related electrical or aeronautical areas.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
