Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is offering an exciting opportunity for a leadership-minded Mid-Level Operations Quality Engineer to join the Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Quality Operations Team in Oklahoma City, OK.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Primary role will be to report to the OKC Operations Senior Quality Assurance Manager, supporting Quality Business Requirements to create, edit and maintain NCM/Product KPIs and Metrics to show the health of the organization.
  • Provides data for management review including performance-to-plan metrics.
  • Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements.
  • Collects and verifies data, using tools such as GOLDesp, IQDS, Tableau, to support risk analysis, driving down waste, increasing productivity, and visibility of all areas of quality.
  • Supports process improvements utilizing frameworks such as Early Quality Involvement (EQI), Lean, and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
  • Provides material review dispositions for nonconformances.
  • Performs analysis and process audits to ensure Boeing Quality Management System requirements are met utilizing Enterprise Process Evaluation System (EPES), and other related processes and applications.
  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated.
  • Provides recommendations to management and leadership as requested.
  • Will work with teams so must have team player attitude and ability to work well with other organizations.
  • Works under minimal direction and is responsible for training and mentoring lower-level quality personnel.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree
  • 3+ years of experience supporting manufacturing and/or engineering business partners
  • 3+ years’ experience in a quality job role
  • Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Word
  • Experience with Nonconformance Management
  • Experience working or inspecting non-conformance work orders

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification
  • Experience with GOLDesp and/or Worksheet Write Ups (WSWs)
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience developing & delivering presentations to management
  • Experience performing data analysis
  • Experience in Material Deficiency Reporting and investigations

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Summary pay range: USD 82,450 – 111,550
