Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Product Review Engineer (Service Engineer) to join our team in Seal Beach, CA. As a Product Review Engineer, you will be resolving structural issues related to in-service airplanes, working on MRB (Material Review Board) activities supporting end-users in a customer support role, and working with the Aerospace-related Integrated Product Team (IPT). Documents structural repair dispositions and data required to show compliance with Boeing, customer, and regulatory requirements, to maintain continued airworthiness/mission capability.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Mid-Level (Level 3) and Senior (Level 4) Product Review Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Applies knowledge of Boeing design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues through the product lifecycle.
  • Analyzes, conducts root cause analysis, and develops dispositions for design non-conformances.
  • Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customers and designs interim and final engineering solutions.
  • Identifies documents, analyzes reported problems and communicates deviations that could impact design intent and safety; recommends and manages resolution.
  • Develops and implements product/process improvements.
  • Supports Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participates in design reviews.
  • Represents the engineering community in the build through post-production environment.
  • Ensures supplier and builds partner compliance with Boeing standards.
  • Develops non-destructive test procedures, tools, and standards. Conducts simple static strength analysis.
  • Willing to support a 24/7 on-call rotation schedule and the ability to work variable shifts, including weekends or overtime.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher in an engineering subject area.
  • 5+ years of experience in structures engineering.
  • Must be willing to support a 24/7 on-call environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 + years of experience working with MRB (Material Review Board) activities related to aircraft structures.
  • Engineering leadership experience is a plus.
  • Experience supporting end-users in a customer service role.
  • Experience working transport category airplane certification or production/fleet support projects involving FAA approval.

Typical Education & Experience:

Mid-Level (level 3) - Bachelors degree and typically 5 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a Masters degree with typically 3 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.

Senior (Level 4) - Bachelors degree and typically 9 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a Masters degree with typically 7 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years experience in an engineering classification.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Mid-Level (level 3): $96,050 – $129,950

Senior level (level 4): $120,700 – $163,300
