Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Everett, WA is seeking experienced Associate, Mid-level, and Senior Electronic Systems Design & Analysis Engineers to join the Avionics team to define and integrate navigation radio systems across our commercial airplane fleet. Projects involve analyzing and translating requirements into system architecture, hardware, software and interface specifications. Work with a world-class team to develop system components and validate designs through laboratory and airplane testing. Work on airplane systems throughout the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through certification and delivery.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements, with a specific focus on navigation radios, antennas, and control panels.

  • Design hardware, software, and interface specifications for these avionics systems.

  • Test and validate system designs to ensure they meet operational and functional requirements.

  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure seamless system integration and compliance with requirements.

  • Solve problems related to fielded hardware and software throughout the entire product lifecycle.

  • Research and evaluate specific technology advances for potential application to meet company business needs.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree (or higher) from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry or related technical field of study.

  • Minimum 1+ years of engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Familiarity with engineering processes and methods.

  • Experience with hardware and software design.

  • Experience with model-based development tools.

  • Experience working with cross functional teams.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • Knowledge of FAA / EASA certification.

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary Pay Range for Lead (Level 2): $85,850 - $116,150

Summary Pay Range for Lead (Level 3): $102,850 - $139,150

Summary Pay Range for Senior (Level 4): $128,350 - $173,650
