Description:As a senior network engineer in the DV2 South Region Infrastructure Performance and Digital Communications (IPDC) organization supporting the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) site in Grand Prairie, Texas (including other remote sites in the South region), this position applies technology to meet network connectivity service commitments for LM Business Areas. This position administers and maintains a complex suite of network hardware and software across an enterprise network environment. This position is responsible for supporting Tier 1 to Tier 3 network issues, maintaining lean operating processes & procedures, supporting infrastructure changes, large transformation projects, and providing overall service consistent with customer care objectives. The position requires successful utilization of senior level experience in network design, network engineering, network operations, network performance tools, project management, and systems integration. This professional will ensure that the Lockheed Martin networks are managed, controlled, and updated in a manner consistent with both Lockheed Martin policies and procedures. Work can be performed remotely, including off-shift hours and weekends. The position also supports a 24 X 7 weekly on-call schedule which is rotated between team members.

Responsibilities included but not limited to Include:

• Engineering - Develop network standards, infrastructure design, testing and implementation of network devices at MFC Dallas and remote sites. Develop project plans and procedures for design changes, upgrades, migrations, and network refresh.

• Operations - Network support to include monitoring, performance, capacity planning, request fulfilment, and incident management. Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues as well as work with customers to provide advanced level packet analysis and application performance diagnostics. Resolve and fulfill ServiceNow incidents and requests in a timely manner.

• Intelligent Factory Framework (IFF) Support - Become a subject matter expert for IFF/SD Access environments. Provide ongoing operational support and assist the business areas with ongoing new device onboarding and troubleshooting.

• LAN Service Team – Responsibilities under the Campus LAN Service Team include; EIGRP to OSPF migrations, design planning for large/complex network routing designs, and 802.1x network implementations.

• Network Security - Provide provisioning support for IsoLAN networks, identifying customer data flows, coordination of firewall requests, and working with customers and security teams for all associated documentation, testing and troubleshooting
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9+ years of professional experience; or 7+ years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.

• Demonstrated advanced knowledge and experience in the design and implementation of switching and routing protocols.

• Experience working with Brocade/Ruckus and Cisco network switches.

• Knowledge and experience in utilizing software skills; programing, automation, and scripting.

• Extensive troubleshooting experience with network hardware/software fault isolation, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.

• Network performance analysis tool experience.

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience troubleshooting network connectivity and/or peer to peer application issues at all levels of the TCP/IP stack via packet capture and analysis.

• Demonstrated experience successfully working multiple projects and tasks concurrently.

• Proven ability to effectively communicate detailed design and engineering concepts and translate them into appropriate technical specifications.

• Proven ability to operate independently and exercise appropriate technical judgment.

• Ability to undertake minimal overnight travel as required.

• Position will be required to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and support a 24x7 on call rotation.
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge and/or experience supporting the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control unclassified network infrastructure.

• Experience or familiarity with Data Center enterprise-wide IT processes and systems.

• Proficiency/Certifications in both network and security areas (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, Security +).

• Experience supporting Isolated Networks.

• Experience in information security infrastructure, including firewalls and VPN architecture.

• Experience with the development of Standard Operating Instructions and Disaster Recovery Plans.

• Experience managing vendor relationships for break/fix, root cause analysis, escalations, and technology refresh.

• Systems integration skills. Demonstrated experience integrating infrastructure components such as, but not limited to, network, server, storage, and security systems.

• Knowledge / expertise with Cisco Viptela SDWAN, Multi-Cloud Architectures, Infoblox, and CA Spectrum.

• Advanced experience with network management tools and applications (ex: ExtraHop, DynaTrace, CA Spectrum, etc.).

• Project management skills and / or certification (PMP, etc.).

• Familiarity and/or experience supporting Software Defined Networks (SDN).

• Exhibits strong customer service skills. Ability to communicate at a high technical level and at a summarization level to interface with program leadership.

• Excellent interpersonal, teaming, and leadership skills illustrated within work experience.

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $115,500 - $217,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500 .
