OVERVIEW:
YOUR ROLE AS A NETWORK ENGINEER:
This role manages and maintains all LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud network infrastructure for AirAsia Group, collaborating on network design and implementing robust security measures. Moreover, this role is expected to maximize network performance through resiliency testing, monitoring, and upgrades, along with providing 24/7 network operations support for troubleshooting and installations across all locations.
WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
Network Infrastructure Management: Administer and maintain all LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud network infrastructure across all locations for AirAsia Group.
Security & Optimization: Implement network security measures (policies, firewalls) and maximize performance through resiliency testing, monitoring, and upgrades.
Troubleshooting: Provide onsite support for network installations and Level 2 & 3 troubleshooting.
System Design & Implementation: Collaborate with architects on network design, and plan and execute network equipment installation and configuration.
IT Support & Management: Support wireless, PABX, and video conferencing systems, manage IT equipment, and resolve desktop operational issues.
Policy Adherence: Ensure all network changes comply with IT Change Management SOP and Policies.
WHO YOU ARE:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration and engineering
Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, VPN, HA, NAT, 802.11, 802.1x, QoS) and Layer 3 routing protocols.
Proven ability to configure and maintain diverse network hardware platforms, including routers, wireless devices, switches, and firewalls.
Working experience with Public Cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure) is highly plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
Self-motivated team player with the ability to multitask effectively and interact professionally with users at all levels.
