Network Infrastructure Engineer (d/f/m)
The role is required to maintain and operate the DEVOPS environments managed by the department in the scope of the product or project delivery.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Ability to identify the activities of the development life cycle that are necessary to develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulation and program requirements.
Define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases and gates.
Provide sufficient detailed data and information about system elements to enable the implementation consistent with architectural entities as defined in models and views of the system architecture and in accordance with the allocated requirements.
Network Engineer responsible for major aspects of network specification, standards, technologies and overall network design models within the project.
Produces network design policies, principles and criteria covering connectivity, capacity, interfacing, security, resilience, recovery and access suitable for Campus Network Infrastructure.
Design communication networks to support strategic and operational requirements and producing network strategies, architectures, policies and related documentation
knowledge of virtualization technologies for networking, computing and storage and experience within new technologies for Network Virtualization Functions, Software Defined Networking, Software Defined Wide Area Network, IoT
solid knowledge on design specific network components using agreed architectures, design standards, patterns and methodology
capable of creation of alternatives for various design situations (campus, datacenter, WLAN, WAN, small/medium/large sites, etc.)
capable of configuration of the network nodes like: routers, switches, firewalls, modems, … in a physical environment or cloud
accountable for network design
Desired skills and qualifications
Master degree in computer science or equivalence
Networking - equivalent certification like CCNP, knowledge of new technologies for Network Virtualization Functions, Software Defined Networking, Software Defined Wide Area Network - design level
Cloud Computing - knowledge of major providers of Software Defined Data Centers (VMware, Microsoft, ...) - design level
Automation and Scripting - DevSecOps environment
Security and Monitoring
Agile methodologies
Cisco, Juniper or any other related certification is required
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), considered a plus
fluent in German and English language skills, both written and spoken
