Contract Position
$62.85-$67.85/Hour
Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
Lead the electrical design and development of power management and distribution components and sub-systems for ground combat vehicles.
Support the design, modeling, simulation, integration, and testing of electrical power distribution and management hardware.
Derive and author component specifications, fabrication documents, and interface requirements.
Write and execute test requirements, plans, and procedures; generate detailed test reports.
Conduct vehicle integration and troubleshooting of electrical power systems.
Track and manage system performance metrics, including weight, cost, and power allocation.
Develop and maintain Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and release drawings per Engineering Release Plan (ERP).
Create and manage Statements of Work (SOW), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and other proposal documentation.
Lead source selection, evaluate supplier designs, track technical action items, and manage supplier communications.
Provide technical oversight to suppliers throughout design development and validation phases.
Prepare and present at formal design reviews and milestone checkpoints.
Conduct laboratory and vehicle-based engineering evaluations and support prototype builds and field issues.
Collaborate across engineering disciplines and interface with internal stakeholders including IPT leads, systems engineers, logistics, and manufacturing teams.
Support internal and customer reporting, ensuring alignment with company processes and program milestones.
Domestic travel may be required to support partner test locations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required; Master’s degree preferred.
Must be a U.S. Person and eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
Minimum 5 years of experience with high-voltage electrical propulsion, power generation, and energy storage systems.
Experience with automotive or heavy-duty vehicle powertrain systems required; military land vehicle experience preferred.
Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation of 3D modeling data.
Familiarity with PLM systems (TeamCenter preferred), Cameo, and Capital Logic.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional environments.
Proven experience authoring technical documents and delivering effective oral presentations.
