Job Summary


As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the electrical engineering team with various assignments to project teams for development of complex circuit solutions that meet the challenges of a tactical military environment.  This position will be responsible for driving technology and completion of activity on time and budget.  Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems.  Ability to complete a technical project independently.  Mentor and coach other engineers.


Job Responsibilities



  • Responsible for driving technology and completion of activity on time and budget.

  • Develop electrical concepts, define interfaces, design circuitry, guide layout, simulate and test designs, document technical data, and support transition to production.

  • Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments.

  • Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable.

  • Provide technical expertise and assistance to other engineers and support personnel.

  • Provide electrical input to project planning and system solution development.

  • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services.

  • Drive the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements.

  • Develop prototypes to retire key development risks.

  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required.

  • Participate in preparation of proposals.

  • Support and encourage a culture of collaboration, integrity, continuous improvement, results, and accountability.


Job Requirements:
Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
  • Master's degree a plus.
  • At least 3 years of digital design/development experience.
  • Analog design/development a plus.
  • Experience with the design, development, modification, and analysis of various electronics systems.
  • Experience with processor motherboard and system experience a plus. Video processing a plus.
  • Knowledge of high-speed interconnects such as PCIE, Gb Ethernet, DDR3 / DDR4 Memory bus, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, LVDS/DisplayPort/HDMI, etc.
  • Knowledge of portable, battery-powered systems.
  • Experience in low-power, low-voltage DC-DC power conversion.
  • Experience utilizing development tools required. LTSpice, Cadence, OrCAD Schematic Capture and Allegro editor/viewer, AutoCAD, and PTC CreoView preferred.
  • History of troubleshooting and diagnoses of issues related to existing products, and systems making modifications as required.
  • Familiarity with designing to meet MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1275, etc. is desired. Professional work experience in a defense industry/DoD is a plus.
  • Position may require occasional domestic travel (<15%).
