Raytheon (RTX) has an immediate opening for a temporary Principal Electrical/RF Engineer.  This temporary role will support the program’s deployed systems at a customer’s remote site. This is a mix of heterogeneous Satellite Ground Station Systems that are used as the interface between satellite command & control; and RF/Ground Terminal (GT) equipment and servers. 

What You Will Do:

• Primarily supporting Operational issues troubleshooting Antenna system, servers and support hardware
• Escort contractors as needed
• Troubleshoot Antenna system, RF test equipment and support servers
• Perform daily hardware status checks and provide status reports
• Deployment to customer sites will be required

Qualifications You Must Have:

• A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with satellite GT system design, integration and troubleshooting an integrated system that includes network, compute, and specialized COTS equipment
• Experience with RF hardware install and Test Equipment (i.e., spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters, etc)

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Hardware, Computer, or Electrical Engineering system design, Integration and troubleshooting experience
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
• Experience with Satellite Ground Station architecture and design
• Experience with Antenna System, RF frequency converter, high power amplifier

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

This is a temporary position of an undetermined length.

The salary range for this role is $48.56 - $97.60; however, Raytheon considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training and key skills.
