What You Will Do:
- Responsible for defining, creating strategies for and managing the Technology & Innovation Portfolio including TRL progressions, Budget/Schedule, and IP metrics to meet business goals.
- Coordinate with internal and external business partners to launch, guide Systems/Component teams through project execution, and drive forward technology developments.
- Interact with the Power and Controls technology representatives and brief both the GETC leadership and Collins Technology Council on key projects/initiatives.
- Provide strategic input into P&C product portfolio and into design & development processes.
- Present updates to internal/external business partners and GETC leadership and to the broader Collins Technology Council.
- Collaborate with customer-facing teams to understand customer & aerospace spanet needs, participating in or leading technology meetings and proposal efforts for company, government or customer-funded development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners to identify and address key technology needs.
- Actively represent the Technology Advancement Process as a member of the Tech Council; with experience, chair reviews and represent GETC and P&C on Collins Technology Council.
- Coordinate opportunities and technologies across Power & Controls as needed to build the ‘One Collins’ approach
- Coordinate closely with Collins Advanced Research & Technology and the Raytheon Technologies Research Center to align and advance technology roadmaps.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics and
- At least 10 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering results in complex engineering or technology-driven environments
- Proven track record in project or engineering services management, including planning, execution, risk management, and delivery of complex engineering initiatives.
- Strong ability to define project scope, milestones, and success criteria and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Experience in managing cross-functional and distributed teams, with demonstrated leadership in matrix organizations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical depth and strategic oversight.
- Hands-on experience with implementation of new technologies,
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Strong leadership engineering and projects skills; proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive-level audiences.
- Background in managing customer or government-funded technology development programs, including proposal preparation and execution.
- Experience in customer-facing roles and interfacing with external partners.
- Recognized thought leadership or SME status in aerospace or technology development.
