Full-Time with an ESOP Company Schedule: 9x80 (Every Other Friday Off)
Estimated salary range: $90,000 - $120,000
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.)
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the Ground Based Midcourse (GMD) Weapon System (GWS). The successful candidate will perform MBSE activities in support of the programs Ground Systems Segment (GSS) Integrated Product Team (IPT)
Responsibilities:
Perform MBSE tasks to model system behaviors, structure, and interfaces using SysUML
Develop and maintain system artifacts to support integration of hardware and software subsystems
Use DOORS for requirements authoring, management, and traceability
Collaborate across IPTs to support design, development, and integration activities
Apply domain knowledge in missile defense systems to inform architecture decisions
Contribute to system modeling efforts using tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw
Document, present, and review technical products across stakeholder teams
Travel up to 10 in support of program needs or customer engagements
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Active Secret Clearance required to start
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM-related field
5+ years experience with Bachelors (3+ years with Master’s, 1+ year with PhD)
Strong experience with DOORS for requirements management
Knowledge of missile defense systems and DoD system development
Experience working with hardware/software integration in complex systems
Background in Model-Based Systems Engineering using SysUML to describe behaviors of a complex DoD system
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Cameo/MagicDraw for system modeling
Knowledge of INCOSE Systems Engineering principles
Active Security+ Certification (DoD 8570 compliance)
Ability to work both independently and within a small team environment
Strong critical thinking, technical documentation, and presentation skills
