Systems Engineer -

MBSE (Ground-Based Midcourse Defense)

Onsite in Huntsville, AL

Minimum Starting Salary: $90,000/Year

Actual salary is based on experience and quallifications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Systems Engineering artifacts to support the GWS architecture and capability development

• Utilize IBM DOORS to manage and trace system-level requirements

• Author and validate detailed system and interface requirements

• Apply MBSE principles and use tools such as CAMEO to support model development

• Collaborate with a diverse team to perform requirements analysis, system design, and integration planning

• Support test and verification alignment with system-level design

• Communicate technical concepts clearly in presentations and documentation

• Travel up to 10 for program reviews and customer engagements

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Active Secret Clearance required to start

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM-related field

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree (3+ years with Master’s, 1+ year with PhD)

• Proficiency in IBM DOORS for requirements management

• Demonstrated recent experience in requirements authoring

• Familiarity with CAMEO/MagicDraw

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • GMD system knowledge or experience supporting Missile Defense programs

  • Hands-on experience with CAMEO for model-based system design

  • Familiarity with test planning, verification, and validation

  • Experience developing and integrating systems in defense or aerospace environments

  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to translate complex concepts into actionable designs

  • Effective communication skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively
