THE ROLE:
To help us lead the future of commercial aircraft modification in Boeing EASA Modifications, we are seeking applicants for a Principal Systems/Equipment Qualification Engineer to join our rapidly expanding, best-in-class team. We will support you to develop your already substantial skills and encourage you to reach your career goals.
The successful candidate will guide and lead the design and certification of complex large aircraft modifications, primarily connectivity system integration, for our global airline partners to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements and procedures defined in the company’s Design Organization Handbook (DOH).
You will work closely with Office of Airworthiness and Authorities to grow and develop our connectivity system capabilities in order to ensure certification, process understanding and design strategy.
This role is based in either of our BGS EASA Modifications sites in Frimley, UK or Hamburg, Germany. The position is primarily on-site though limited hybrid working options are available. Travel to other sites is expected with occasional international travel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as Boeing key representative during customer meetings such as ITCM, PDR, CDR and FAI in support of active and up-coming projects. Provide additional on-site support to assist the customers during the embodiment phase of the project.
This role will require occasional national and/or international travel to visit teammates, customers and subcontractors.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Able to demonstrate comprehensive working knowledge of EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including (E)TSO, CS-25, JAR-25 and FAR-25 requirements (relevant to the electrical/avionics discipline).
