Description:Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an exciting opportunity in Valley Forge, PA for an RF Engineer Principal to support the Weapons Platform Integration (WPI) and Advanced Programs (AP) portfolios. As a new hire on our WPI/AP team, you can help us take on the world’s most important and complex challenges by providing innovative solutions to a variety of missions. In this critical role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals, interact with internal stakeholders, and interface with external customers. The successful candidate will be dynamic, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, and team-oriented.

As an RF Engineer Principal, you will:
• Lead RF Engineering efforts across Advanced Programs including technical direction, architecting, planning, tools, and training
• Manage RF technical inputs to include proposal support, trade studies, competitive bid evaluations, and program execution
• Provide inputs to and ensure compliance with major program reviews including System Requirements Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, and Test Readiness Reviews
• Provide hardware/software and interface documentation compliant with customer requirements and LM Best Practices
• Drive timely releases of engineering products and artifacts to support program schedules and major milestones
• Encourage open communication, positive customer satisfaction, and timely program status updates
• Develop vision for Advanced Programs products and customers, incorporating OneLM strategies for continuous improvement and digital transformation
• Lead a team of software and systems engineers, to develop and execute the vision for Advanced Programs
• Mentor junior team members in the RF domain to knowledge transfer and develop next generation talent
• Engage with program leaders to include Portfolio Manager, Program Manager, Engineering Manager, Chief Engineers, System Architect, Software Architect, Cost Account Managers and Subcontracts Program Manager.
• Ensure due diligence of all Engineering labor estimations for ROMs and proposals across Advanced Programs
• Some travel may be required to support vendor visits, demos, or customer meetings

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 20 years or more of professional experience, 18+ years with a Masters, 15+ years with a PhD degree, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Security Clearance required Prior to Start: Top Secret
• Thorough knowledge of RF technologies and antenna applications
• Strong background in design, development, production, and test engineering processes
• Experience developing system requirements, interfaces, and architectures
• Experience in proposal Basis of Estimate (BOE) generation
• Ability to work in a rapid paced, Agile development environment
• Ability to travel to vendors or test events as it may be required
• Proven ability to effectively lead and collaborate in a team environment
• Experience working with internal and external customers
Desired Skills:
• Full life cycle program experience (concept to sustainment/disposal)
• Risk and opportunity experience with an understanding of continuous improvement concepts
• Experience with parabolic dishes and phased array solutions
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with a diverse team
• Experience as a leader of technical leaders
• Experience performing software and/or systems integration and testing
• Experience in test plan/procedure preparation and test execution
• Familiarity with Agile systems development and/or DevOps

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
