Job Description SummaryThe Product Definition Systems Engineer will work as an individual contributor or team leader and will report to the Evendale site Product Definition Engineering (PDE) Manager. In this role you will be responsible for legacy and New Product Introduction (NPI) cross-platform systems, acting with moderate autonomy and requiring high levels of operational judgment.

Job Description

As the PDE Systems Engineer, you will:

  • Manage assembly level product definition data.
  • Own and create engine and module level drawing definition and Model Based Assembly (MBA).
  • Maintain module Bill of Material (BOM).
  • Review design changes and evaluate assembly level impact.
  • Support and lead digital engine fly-thru.
  • Collaborate with systems engineering, configuration management and digital engine owner.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers.
  • Stay current with industry developments within area of expertise.
  • Ability to lead small teams.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering or other technical positions).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.

Desired Characteristics

  • Working Knowledge of STD16A3 for Significant Item Numbers and STD12B5 for Assemblies.
  • Experience using Siemens NX and Vismockup software.
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Experience with Product Change Management (PCM) and working knowledge of STD17A1.
  • Highly motivated and passionate.
  • Self-starter with problem solving skills.
  • Keen listener with exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to influence others.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
