* Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and typically 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD + 4 years of related work experience, Master’s degree + 7 years of related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

* 9 or more years of experience supporting MRB activities related to aircraft systems or structures.
* Hands-on experience with materials and manufacturing processes.
* Prior BCA Engineering Material Review Board certification. Job Duties & Functions
* Analyze production non-conformances, conduct root cause analysis, and develop engineering dispositions.
* Apply engineering and design principles to assess and resolve product and process issues throughout the product lifecycle.
* Research technical, operational, and quality issues to support the development of final engineering solutions.
* Identify, document, and analyze reported problems and communicate deviations that may impact design intent or safety.
* Develop and implement product and process improvements to enhance production performance and quality.
* Support Integrated Product Teams and participate in design reviews.
* Represent the engineering organization on the factory floor during aircraft production and post-production activities.
* Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with engineering standards and requirements.
* Develop engineering correspondence to support continued safe operation and maintenance of aircraft equipment.
* Participate in on-site repair teams, accident investigations, and engineering support activities.
* Analyze damage repairs or structural modifications to determine appropriate jacking and shoring requirements.
* Design interim structural repairs and perform static strength analysis.
* Develop non-destructive testing procedures, tools, and standards. Physical Requirements & Environment
* Work performed in a factory environment with exposure to stairs, trip hazards, and high noise areas.
* Exposure to chemical hazards during aircraft production activities.
