* Bachelor’s degree and typically 14 or more years of experience, OR a Master’s degree with typically 12 or more years of experience, OR a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years of experience, from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.

* Knowledge of drawing change processes (EQC, ELR, MCC, RR, MR, PRR).
* Prior CI&R experience. Job Duties & Functions
* Assess and resolve product and process issues across the product lifecycle.
* Lead research, root cause analysis, and disposition of complex design nonconformances.
* Develop interim and final engineering solutions for structural and system-related issues.
* Investigate multidiscipline system events and assess potential safety issues.
* Analyze reported problems and implement product and process improvements.
* Provide subject matter expertise to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
* Represent engineering in build through post-production environments.
* Oversee documentation of hardware and system problems.
* Identify training needs and support technical development activities.
* Lead on-site repair teams and support accident investigation efforts.
* Review and approve design and operational concepts for new designs.
* Design jacking and shoring schemes and perform static strength analysis.
* Develop and lead non-destructive testing procedures, tools, and standards. Physical Requirements & Environment
