Job Description:

Assist production line in efforts to resolve production issues in order to respect schedule, cost, and quality goals.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide guidance to production line to identify and evaluate issues and to coordinate with Team Leaders, Program Managers, Production Engineers, and Managers to provide resolutions to these issues.
  • Coordinate with BUs, Engineering, Procurement, etc. to resolve issues that affect the production line.
  • PRovide technical assistance to resolve assembly line technical issues that impede or could delay production.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports.
  • Assist the Production Engineer with specific projects and conduct independent projects under supervision.
  • Provide assistance and input on efforts to identify and prioritize ways to improve processes and quality, as well as reduce costs and flow time.
  • Participate on Non Conformity Report resolution by solution research synthesis, analysis, proposal, and presentation to Engineering and Quality.
  • Define, prepare, present, and advise the BU teams on new processes, improvements, concepts and systems under supervision.
Job Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Associate's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field. Less education will be considered with relevant work experience. 2 years of previous work experience in the chosen discipline is equivalent to 1 year of college.
•Five (5) years of experience in the discipline related to the position: components fabrication and assembly, aircraft paint application, aircraft/components interior production, avionics installation and systems checkout, or aircraft/components structural repair/installation and mechanical systems.
•Ability to read, understand and communicate (verbally and in writing) technical information contained in aircraft/components maintenance manuals, technical data documentation, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, SharePoint, etc.
•Thorough working knowledge of Production IT tools
•Working knowledge in production support project managements (scope, cost, time, etc.)
•Ability to conduct root cause analysis and define a corrective action plan.
•Must be able to function throughout the total facility, including up and down stairs and in and out of aircraft with or without reasonable accommodation
