Job Description:

In your role, you will

Participate in design and sizing activities for R&T projects from concept to entry into service:
- Participate in structure design (metallic & composite) and/or system installation design
- Carry out stress activities to define and size major systems or structural interfaces, FEA and analytical hand calculations for example
- Carry out stress calculations to assess design solutions and trade studies
- Prepare stress reports and formal compliance documents
- Participate in problem solving activities and provide technical solutions
Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams: aerodynamics, structure design, systems architecture, etc.
Liaise with suppliers, internal and external
Provide visibility to management as needed

As our ideal candidate

You have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering
You have a minimum of 5 years of structural analysis experience in static, for primary structures and system components (metallic and composite)
You are proficient in using software packages such as MSC PATRAN/NASTRAN, Altair Hyper Works, LS-DYNA as well as CATIAv5 or NX, and the MS Software Suite (MSWord, MS Excel)
You have knowledge in object-oriented programming methods. Python is an asset
You have knowledge in design and manufacturing processes of the aerospace industry
You have a good understanding of aircraft production methods and processes
You are autonomous, result-driven and enthusiastic with strong work ethics
You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communication to suit the audience. You strive for harmonious cohesive teamwork
