Candidate will be part of the LM engineering team stationed at the Canadian Forces Main Operating Base (MOB) in Trenton, Ontario, Canada for support of the Canada In Service Support (ISS) program.

The on-site engineering team will provide coverage forty (40) hour week but, the candidate may work a 9x80 hour week schedule. The candidate will be working with LM Canada engineering and support staff in Trenton and in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

On-the-job training will occur in Marietta, Georgia from In Marietta for OJT February – March 2024 with deployment in April 2024. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, investigation of service trouble reports, deficiency reports, problems, issues, or questions related to the airframe, system installation, and configuration of the aircraft and the associated technical publications; provision and/or coordination of LM Aero responses to written taskings within specified timeframes; review and approval of non-standard structural repairs developed for the CC130J fleet; provision of repair advice and data to facilitate CC130J repair development; development of non-standard metallic or composite structural repairs when required; provide Statement of Condition of damage caused by accidents and provide repair instructions as required; participate in accident investigation team as required; interpretation of standard repairs depicted in the Structural Repair Manual; review of modification proposals and assessment for potential airworthiness implications; review of TLM requests to manufacture C-130J parts and provide advice on part numbers and latest drawings applicable to the Canadian aircraft; coordination with the customer, on-site Field Service Representative, and the LM engineering organization in Marietta. Candidate must have a basic understanding of aircraft structures and/or systems with a good understanding of engineering principles in their engineering discipline. In addition, the candidate should have a working knowledge of configuration management techniques, drafting/drawing conventions, and aerospace specifications and procedures, as well as proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Excellent communication, people, and team skills and a proven history of strong work habits and a positive attitude are a must. Prefer degree in AE, CE or ME. A combination of education and experience may be considered equivalent to the degree requirement.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
