Role Summary
* In this role, you will lead the technical success of projects in AC and DC power conversion and protection products, ensuring compliance with customer requirements while managing engineering resources within budget and schedule. You will provide technical management across the full lifecycle, from fielded system refreshes to new product introductions. Education & Job Requirements
* Must have broad-based technical knowledge and experience to evaluate design and development across engineering functions.
* Must have an emphasis in Electrical Power Conversion Engineering; Systems Engineering experience is highly desired.
* Must have knowledge of the full lifecycle of hardware/software products, including system architecture, design, integration, and verification/validation.
* Must have an understanding of strong development engineering processes such as Lean Product Development, Design for X (DFX), Six Sigma, product lifecycle management, and systems engineering.
* Must have the ability to analyze projects, break down work into functional disciplines, and create structured execution plans.
* Must have familiarity with the military/defense contracting environment.
* Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills for both internal and customer-facing presentations.
* Must have experience leading integrated product teams.

* Will perform engineering development activities by driving effective processes and enforcing best practices.
* Will perform tasks using methodologies and tools to improve engineering excellence.

* Will perform proposal activities, including technical WBS definition, cost estimation, risk assessment, and schedule creation.
* Will perform interpretation of RFP requirements and lead development of technical approaches and proposal content.

* Will perform management of detailed technical WBS, cost estimation, risk management, and technical schedules.
* Will perform day-to-day oversight of technical project aspects, including cross-functional decision making, task and schedule management, issue resolution, requirements management, and risk management.
* Will perform leadership of engineering disciplines, including software, digital, electrical power, mechanical, configuration management, and systems engineering.
* Will perform the definition of system architecture and associated requirements.
* Will perform and lead design reviews (e.g., ConDr, SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, SVR, peer reviews).
* Will perform definition and oversight of technical development plans (e.g., HW Development Plan, SW Development Plan, Integration Test Plan).
* Will perform testing leadership, including unit, integration, verification, and qualification testing, with responsibility for defect tracking and resolution.
* Will perform support of customer upgrade requests and change management for released products.
* Will perform coordination with functional management to secure and manage engineering staffing.
* Will perform budget management, evaluate the Estimate to Complete, and report cost growth to Program Management.
* Will perform coordination of hand-off to Operations and Field Support, both internal and external. Additional Information
* This position operates primarily as a small team leader, with occasional assignments as an individual contributor.
* Will perform day-to-day responsibility for the creation, review, and submission of project artifacts such as plans, procedures, reports, design documents, and technical manuals.
* Will perform ownership of all major project reviews.
* Will perform close collaboration with engineers to provide real-time guidance on design, testing, and system requirements.
* Must be highly detail-oriented, structured, and organized, with the ability to communicate complex data succinctly while maintaining an understanding of system operations and end-user needs.
