Honeywells ACST team is seeking a Project Engineering Manager (8M) forour Golden Valley, MN location.

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE

  • Managing a team of project engineers including issuing work assignments, monitoring team member performance, writing and delivering performance reviews, mentoring team members, and facilitating career development
  • Evaluating department processes for improvement opportunities and leading improvement projects
  • Ensuring the application of project engineering best practices for a wide variety of projects from R&D to Manufacturing
  • Collaborating with program management, technical personnel, functional leadership and support organizations to drive the successful delivery of highly specialized systems
  • Developing executable work packages for large, very complex, high-value components and systems involving multiple scientific and engineering disciplines
  • Leading cost, schedule, and technical decisions for multi-disciplinary engineering teams of 15 people or more, often needing to make rapid decisions based on ambiguous or conflicting information
  • Understanding the complex interactions between the business and technical requirements of a project so that you can provide guidance to the execution team and recommendations to the program manager when conflicts arise
  • Overseeing the preparation, approval, and delivery of documentation, as prescribed by contract requirements

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Must be a USCitizen due to contractual requirements. 

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • Minimum 8 years of technical project leadership experience
  • U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain government security clearance
WE VALUE
  • Active TS security clearance with polygraph
  • Masters degree or PhD in Systems Engineering, Software Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical
  • Engineering, or related field.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in engineering, research & development, manufacturing, or a related field
  • Experience leading a department or function with performance and career progression oversight
  • Experience bringing designs from prototype to production
  • Lean, Black Belt, and PMP Certifications
