We’re more than aviation experts, we’re pioneers. We challenge what’s possible. From breaking the sound barrier to advanced tiltrotor systems. Today, Bell is shaping the future of aviation through specialized engineering. And we want you.
We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bells High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.
This position is onsite in Fort Worth.
Propulsion Integration & Analysis
The successful candidate will be deployed to the Mechanical Systems Engineering Team to lead the propulsion system integration, build, and testing efforts for the demonstrator aircraft. The demonstrator aircraft is currently undergoing design and development to final drawing release which will be followed by manufacturing build and testing activities for its flight test demonstration. The demonstrator aircraft will be the first tilt-rotorcraft capable of transitioning from rotor borne flight into a high-speed jet aircraft. Its ability to move from proprotor flight to jet mode flight is enabled by its unique propulsion system. The Mechanical Systems Engineering Team is highly collaborative as the propulsion system integrates with all aspects of the development aircraft.
What you’ll be doing as a Propulsion Integration & Analysis Engineer
- Coordinate all engine supplier activities and deliverables to support plane design, build, and test
- Integration of engines into the aircraft (including engine inlets, exhaust, and mounts)
- Presentation of propulsion system content at program reviews and meetings
- Support design release, manufacturing development, and fabrication of SPRINT propulsion systems components, assemblies, and installations
- Support aircraft ground and flight testing at off-site facilities
- Support program management of propulsion activities
- Travel to off-site assembly and test facilities as well as engine supplier facilities based on business needs
