Lockheed Martin is looking for an experienced Propulsion Performance engineer to continue our 80-year tradition of developing new air vehicle systems. This position will support the Propulsion competency and includes responsibilities that may involve advanced weapons system integration, installed propulsion performance, propulsion system modeling, and propulsion system installation.

Analysis of the physical aircraft/engine interface and its functional characteristics, assessing performance optimizations, and identifying risks and opportunities. Additionally, routine taskings with coordinating and collaborating with the aircraft design team and engine manufacturer(s) to assess and/or identify propulsion performance analysis requirements are expected.

The candidate will be working extensively with other Aeronautics engineering disciplines and propulsion system companies. Travel in support of the program efforts may also be required. Good communication skills and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills are highly desirable. Specific technical analysis (including the ability to mentor junior team members) is also highly desirable.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires a DoD security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or equivalent engineering discipline, equivalent experience and combined education considered

• Prior experience with NPSS and Cycle Deck Analysis, Integration, Software/Controls, and Test Experience
Desired Skills:
• Experience interfacing with engine companies and suppliers
• Engine turbomachine, F135, adaptive cycle experience
• Experience with CATIA v5 or equivalent CAD utility
• Matlab, Simulink, or Simscape software packages
• Prior experience leading and coordinating with other vehicle system engineering teams
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
