Report ToManager Quality Assurance (Safety & Investigation)
Position Summary Assure the overall safety and serviceability state of the assigned aircraft, fleet type and the integrity of its supporting system inclusive of Personnel, Equipment, Maintenance Programmes and methods.
Key Accountability- Perform Investigations , Surveillance for events concerning MAB aircraft and components , aircraft incidents, major defects, and recurring discrepancies.
- Conduct Risk Assessment and Prepare Management of Change as assigned by MQA S&I (i.e. for MRIEA, Concessions, Opening of new destinations)
- To raise and close ICARUS safety reports as assigned by MQA S&I.
- Attend meetings, discussions, and consultations pertinent to safety as and when directed. Attend meetings as assigned by HQA and or MQA S&I
- Raise mandatory occurrence report as assigned by MQA S&I in accordance with CAGM 8503
- Raise , follow up and monitor Quality Deficiency Report as assigned by MQA S&I
- To Facilitate and Carry out aircraft delivery and aircraft deregistration duties for MAB
- Perform Night Surveillance, Compliance, and Evaluation audits to all the Technical Handlers and Contracted Maintenance Organisation to ascertain standards are met and agreements are fulfilled.
- To prepare Safety Review Board, Safety Action Group and Safety Risk Assessment Committee Deck as applicable for Airline Engineering.
- To Facilitate ACAM audits by CAAM on MAB Technical Handlers as assigned by HQA and or MQA S&I
- To carry out any other QA tasks as deemed necessary by the MQA and HQA Airline Engineering.
Qualification & Working Experience- CAAM Part-66 License or Company Approval (company issued CRS signatory) with 4 years of working experience.
- Cat B or Cat C with 5 years of working experience with MAB aircraft fleet type approve rating in Supervisory level.
- Certifying staff with hands on experience on 737-800,737-8,A330 and or A350 is an added advantage
- Extensive Knowledge and user experience in AMOS is an added advantage
- Train the Trainer and SMS Implementation course is an added advantage
Skills & Knowledge- Analytic skill to determine the root cause for deficiencies and decide if the remedial actions have a chance to eliminate it.
- Investigation skills, interest in solving a situation which will impair the operations.
- Good communication skills that will involve engagements with MAB top management, MAB Corporate Safety, Aviation Authorities, and contractors.
- Good understanding in Malaysia Civil Aviation Regulations and CAA Malaysia Requirements.
Key Challenges- Comply with the CAAM/CAD 6801/2, CAD1900, CAGM 8503 requirements on Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation.
- To keep abreast with the latest and up to date with MCAR regulations, CAD requirements, circulars, and to ensure compliance of these changes at each review.
- To be aware of all the latest operational issues regarding airlines and assure aircraft is airworthy and operated in a safest condition.
