PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Manage the Spares Dead on Arrival (DOA)/No Fault Found (NFF) parts programs.
- Facilitate the Investigations of failed, NFF, DOA, and defective parts, to identify root causes, and recommend changes and improvements to parts, documentation, and processes. Establish and publish performance metrics to show trends.
- Investigations include working directly with customers, field technical personnel, suppliers, and all company departments worldwide as needed, to investigate quality escapes, identify root causes, recommends changes and improvements to parts, documentation, and processes. Establish and publish performance metrics to show improvement trends.
- Facilitating includes scheduling and organizing meetings, working and communicating, directly with all fellow employees in all departments to evaluate work flow processes, and identify efficiency, quality, and cost cutting improvements. Assist departments to establish and publish applicable performance metrics to show trends.
NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Other duties may be assigned on an as-needed basis to meet department or business objectives.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience
- FAA Airframe and Power Plant Technicians license or equivalent education/experience
- Five years Commercial or Civil aircraft maintenance experience
- Two years quality administration experience in aircraft or aircraft component maintenance
- Familiarity with Airworthiness regulations with regards to procurement, documentation and traceability
- Experience with the use of aircraft or component illustrated parts catalogues
- Advanced level proficiency in the use of PC Windows business software (Microsoft Office preferred) and database management and reporting systems.
- Ability to work well with others with little direct supervision.
- Ability to work within a team environment and initiate and facilitate meetings and conferences.
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with customers, field technical personnel, suppliers, and all company departments worldwide as needed in a professional and effective manner.
- Ability to perform objective root cause investigations.
- Technical writing.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read, write and understand French
- Experience with Industry Quality Monitoring/Improvements Systems (ISO, Six Sigma, etc)
- Technical proficiency with the type of products being supported by DFJ
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Office and warehouse environment.
- Some travel required
- Use of personal computers required.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position typically falls between $80,000 and $90,000 per year. This position is not eligible for overtime.
Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
