Assist in the continuing development and maintenance of the QMS, as well as contribute to the overall efforts of the Quality Assurance department and to understand lean principles in order to document and make recommendations to the process owner(s) on efficiencies for a lean, robust process.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the QMS activities
- Maintain guidance documents and ensure they are updated appropriately (versioning, signatures, approvals, sign off, etc.)
- Act as the primary coordinator and liaison for external audits while keeping the VP of Quality Assurance informed as well and following CTS organizational policy
- Oversee the internal auditing activity as necessary, including Q-Pulse master file review
- Oversee the QMS activities and related documentation to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), etc. are updated and reviewed on schedule.
- Represent QA during external audits, and collaborate with other departments to ensure that regulatory, industry, and customer requirements are met.
- Intake, monitor, and track the completion of vendor survey
- Train internal auditors as necessary.
- Work with the QA Coordinator to ensure all employees are trained as necessary
- Maintain a current knowledge of regulations, good practices, and other external standards
- Assist fellow QA personnel with QMS activities of other offices
- Lean Process Mapping
- Work with process owners in the development of SOPs, Work Instructions
- Understanding of MRO process for appropriate process mapping and recommendations for new processes.
- Define, document, and implement process
- Facilitate and support improvement projects, working with other team members which align with business strategies and priorities.
- Establish and maintain project collateral to map processes and document process characteristics and defects/opportunities.
- Identify and track performance metrics to measure project success.
- Ensure customer-centric programs are thoroughly documented and well executed.
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma and change management methodologies

- Regular meetings with QA personnel in other offices
- Document meetings with action items assigned to individuals

Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Engineer or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Internal & external audits.
- Experience in the Aviation Industry is a plus.
