Ocala Operations has a represented manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team.

As an early career Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to monitor and improve the quality of our operational processes and outputs. We are seeking talented engineers to join our team to help develop many best-in-class products and solutions in our Missiles & Fire Control Business Area at our Ocala, FL.

Job Duties Include:

•Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.

•Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to moderately complex.

•Attends and leads program corrective action meeting, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution and insures responsible parties meet commitments.

•Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment , identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.

•Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100.

•Interfaces with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues.

•Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.

•Makes the final decision on acceptability of product.

An Early Career Quality Engineer Typically has 0 - 5 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Previous Engineering experience

This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
