Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer (Associate, Experienced, Senior) to support the Quality team in Mesa, Arizona!

This position will be supporting a fabrication environment to support planning reviews, inspection planning development, and be responsible for resolving large scale issues be developing metric plans with cross-functional engineering teams. Successful candidates will have a technical background with strong communications skills with multi-disciplinary teams and an understanding of first-time quality and continuous improvement.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in data analytics and background in composites and/or metals fabrication.

Position Responsibilities:

• Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.

• Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.

• Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.

• Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.

• Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.

• Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

• Works under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science or computer science

• More than 1 year of experience in manufacturing or fabrication environment

• More than 1 year of experience using Excel to perform data analysis

• More than 1 year of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Level 3: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Level 4: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Active U.S. Security Clearance

• Experience in Model Based Definition (MBD)

• Experience in First Article Inspection (FAI/AS9102)

• Experience with Composites or Metals fabrication

• Experience in a role that required presentation skills

Summary pay range for associate level (Level 2): USD 83,300 - 112,700

Summary pay range for experienced level (Level 3): USD 100,300 - 135,700

Summary pay range for senior level (Level 4): USD 122,400 - 165,600
