F119 Heavy Maintenance Center Quality Engineer 

The F119 HMC Quality team is seeking a highly talented and motivated Quality Engineer to join our team.  The F119 HMC performs Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul of the F119 Engine in a public / private partnership with the US Air Force.  

What You Will Do:

  • The selected candidate must be able to work closely with Quality Inspectors, Process & Methods Engineers, Operations Team to support MRO Operations.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer focus, business judgment and teamwork.
  • Communicate with various levels of management.
  • Collect and analyze data to minimize workflow disruptions and eliminate nonconformances/escapes.
  • Lead the investigation of quality related work stops and turnbacks using Quality Improvement tools such as Relentless Root Cause Analysis (RRCA) and Quality Control Process Clinic (QCPC); support and facilitate investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions while preventing future recurrence.
  • Manage the disposition and RRCA of quality escapes.
  • Manage the disposition and RRCA of quality escapes.
  • Lead Quality System, process, and product audits.
  • Assist 3rd Party Audits as required.
  • Facilitate investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions while preventing future recurrence.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Generate and modify applicable Quality System documentation to ensure processes and requirements are clearly defined.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • ​Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or business field or equivalent experience and 2 years relevant experience.
  • Travel up to 10.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
