Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in aerospace or a regulated industry.
- Experience with APQP and PPAP processes, with working knowledge of AS9145.
- Hands-on experience performing and reviewing First Article Inspections per AS9102.
- Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, and aerospace quality standards.
- Strong skills with MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Experienced with GD&T and reading and understanding engineering drawing and specifications.
- Willingness to periodically work weekends.
- US Citizen per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering or related field.
- Quality Accreditation (e.g. ASQ CQE).
- Demonstrated ability to lead corrective action processes and communicate effectively with customers.
- Experience conducting process, product, and system audits.
- Experience with nonconformance disposition and product delivery coordination under customer/government oversight.
- Familiarity with quality software tools such as Minitab, Net-Inspect, TipQA, etc.
- Lean and Continuous Improvement skills / 6 Sigma background
