Description:Ocala Operations is a multi-shift manufacturing facility that builds circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and electo- assemblies. The facility currently has over 1300 employees and provides it’s products to six Missiles and Fire Control sites. Ocala specializes in both low volume high mix and high volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing. Ocala Operations has a represented manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team.

Ocala Operations is seeking a Quality Manager that will be responsible for the management of program dedicated quality engineers and providing overarching program quality support for production programs. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring resources are assigned appropriately to provide support to the production programs, supporting program and mission area corrective action boards and quality initiatives, creating, and executing strategies that ensure continuous improvement of production processes resulting in on-time and on-cost deliveries that meet program and customer . The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing and executing processes and procedures in production quality engineering, skills training, metrology, inspection, QMS compliance, and supply chain management.

This position requires contact with equivalent level managers, industry peers and customer representatives, operational decisions, technical activities, schedules, contractual issues and general overall performance of the organizational unit. Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives and works as an active member of an Integrated Product Team, partnering with Production Operations, Engineering and Technology, PP&C as well as Program Management. Focuses on directing the organization to meet critical schedules, resolve critical/complex technical or operational problems. Develops and administers budgets, schedules and performance standards. Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
Engineering degree at the Bachelor level or above and/or equivalent experience/combined education.

Experience designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducting product quality tests, performing statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

Ability to engage in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.

Prior Experience in QA/Test and Inspection

Demonstrated change agent, critical and creative thinker
Experience with manufacturing processes and electronic assemblies, e.g. epoxy/sealant application, painting, soldering, cable & harness fab, etc.

Quality Assurance Management Experience

Ability to work with multiple internal and external customers, including DCMA customers

Experience implementing Process Mistake-proofing process controls

Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance.

This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
STEM degree preferred

Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing union environment.

Lockheed Martin Green or Black Belt certification, with a proven track record of business performance improvement.

Familiarity with developing Statistical process Control run charts.

Expert in MS Office

Experience evaluating and implementing technology insertions into business processes.

Prior manufacturing experience with circuit card, wire harness, electo-optical manufacturing

Experience with 1LMX and/or DX initiatives

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
