Position Overview:
This position is responsible for activities that ensure quality standards for fabricated, welded, painted and assembled devices and purchased parts are achieved and maintained. Has a fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, supplier relations and performance, leadership, training, interpersonal relationships, and improvement systems. Has a thorough understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques, including knowledge of preventive and corrective actions and how to overcome barriers to quality improvements. Proficient in all areas of metrology (calibration of measuring devices), and able to perform inspection using fixed or preset measuring instruments, including CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machine) programming.

Key Responsibilities:
• Apply sound systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues of manufactured and purchased parts while capturing data utilizing the Issue Reporting and/or Preventive/Corrective Action systems.
• Investigate product quality problems with manufacturing, determine root cause, gather, and analyze data and implement preventive/corrective action to reduce or eliminate cause.
• Confer with all disciplines to clarify and document issues, problems, and suggestions.
• Facilitate continuous improvement and learning across all functional areas through training and communication of quality initiatives.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings as well as customer drawings and specifications.
• Develop control plans based on engineering drawing KPCs or prior deficiency history.
• Monitor and/or perform receiving inspections of purchased parts following control and sampling plans using current drawing in Oracle and document results.
• Monitor and/or perform quality activities to support First Article Inspection, in-process and final product inspection, and inspection and acceptance criteria.
• Identify non-conforming product and report utilizing MRB and Issue Reporting System. Drive resolution to closure; create Manufacturing Deviation Requests if applicable.
• Respond to Engineering Change Notices for possible control plan changes and/or inventory inspection and disposition.
• Demonstrate commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of Intelligrateds Quality Management System per ISO, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
• Perform internal audits to assess compliance to standards and to the internal Quality Management System, including investigation, presentation of observations and findings, reporting, corrective and preventive actions.
• Evaluate assemblies and sub-assemblies for proper fit and ensure the proper mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic operation of equipment.
• Perform inspection, sampling, packaging and testing to ensure finished products meet quality specifications and standards; complete Certificate of Compliance as required.

Up to 10 domestic and/or international travel may be required.

 
Basic Qualifications:
• One or more years of experience in a similar role
• Bachelors Degree in S.T.E.M.
• Experience in CMM programming/operation
• Experience using AutoCAD and/or Solid Works
• Advanced engineering drawing interpretation skills
