• In-depth knowledge of Quality Engineering methods, processes, and tools.QUALIFICATIONS:
• This position requires an advanced degree in a related field with 5+ years in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Quality Engineering in the aerospace or defense industry. or a bachelor's degree with six (6) years’ experience; or high school diploma with 12 years’ experience.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP), preferred.
• Strong background in AS9100 / ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience in aviation and highly skilled in identifying Critical Safety Items (CSI), or extremely knowledgeable in metallurgy, machining, finishing, or the production of printed circuit boards.
• Experience auditing and qualifying suppliers, including performing supplier Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis and Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA)
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills when dealing with underperforming or difficult suppliers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and government representatives.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• Possess the ability to work well in a diverse team and with suppliers
• Must be able to travel to customers or suppliers’ location
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Government Security Clearance
