StandardAero is seeking motivated, eager, and innovative students looking to join one of our Inspection teams for the 2026 summer term. 

As an intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence. 

Over the course of your 10-12 week internship, you will have the opportunity to: Determine and document the modification status/configuration of products being processed for repair or overhaul to verify compliance to the applicable regulatory and customer requirements.

What Youll do:

  • Monitors assigned projects for work in progress to ensure that quality and regulatory standards are met and that project designs are effective through the entire process; approves changes to designs or schedules as necessary.  Produces periodic project status reports comparing actual to forecasted timelines.

  • Analyzes, evaluates and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, remanufacturing problems, statistical trends and proposed process changes.  Reviews factors in light of quality of product and reliability of quality during production.

  • Prepare amendments to policies and procedures pertaining to quality system criteria within the organization.

  • Assist on as required basis, sharing technical advice with respect to quality system criteria, airworthiness and regulatory requirements.

  • Supports the efforts of others to design, develop and instruct curricula (classroom or on-the-job) utilizing instructional design techniques, including use of learning objectives, lesson plans, teaching aids and assessment materials.

  • Supports the QE team, develops and implements evaluation, validation or cost benefit analysis of training and sets training performance goals.

  • Analyzes performance measures in order to identify training opportunities and to assess the impact of training.

  • Coordinates the review, amendment, approval and re-issue procedure of all company instructions.

  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.

  • Assist QE team in identifying and developing strategies to reduce COPQ ( Cost of poor quality) while ensuring compliance  from an Audit standpoint

  • Carries out special projects as assigned.

What skills you will use:     

  • Thorough knowledge of, analytical tools and problem solving methodology.

  • Prior knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to maintenance and certification for products processed by the organization.

  • Strong project and time management, planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to learn and adapt to company instructions, company processes, quality, and original equipment manufacturer manuals.

  • Prior knowledge of gas turbine engine theory and performance, preferred.

  • Prior knowledge of production/inspection process and systems (Cycles 0 - 4).

  • Working knowledge of PCs in the current company operating system environment.

  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems.

Background Information  

Ongoing work assignments typically have clearly defined goals, but no (or minimal) direction with respect to what action steps to follow.  The incumbents education, training, and previous experience will help ensure that the goal of the assignment can be clearly defined and understood (even if that means just knowing what relevant questions to ask), but the required/optional approaches to achieving the goal will often remain unclear, undefined and/or untested until the work assignment is well underway
