Description:Seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Supplier Quality Engineering department in support of Lockheed Martin RMS. A successful candidate is one who will be able to:
- Apply quality principles in the areas of; evaluating incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.
- Work with quality inspectors to provide assess incoming material and will provide final disposition of rejected incoming materials.
- Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
- Develop and assign inspection plans for receiving and source inspected parts.
- Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place for purchased parts.
- Engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action.
- Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
- Work within MRP system to code quality requirements into material part masters.
- Review quality notifications and assign to Quality Engineers for further RCCA investigations.
Basic Qualifications:
A self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision.
• BS degree from an accredited college
• Organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a matrix reporting structure
• Strong process aptitude and demonstrated advocacy
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, suppliers and customers
• Demonstrated communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to analyze data for trends with the ability to identify effective root cause and corrective action
• Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
• Experience in disposition of non-conforming products
• Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics
• Knowledge and experience with inspection processes and methods
• Ability to structure, prepare and deliver presentations
• Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point and Access)
Desired Skills:
- Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvements
- Technical experience with engineering specifications and drawings
- Understanding of manufacturing processes
- Data Analytics (MS Excel Data manipulation, Pivot Charts, Charts, Data Deep Dive)
- Material Resource Planning (MRP) System Experience (SAP/COS/etc)
- Experience working in a warehouse environment
- Supplier Quality Management experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
