Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer Associate Manager (QE) for a position based in Grand Prairie, TX. The position requires quality engineering /supplier quality engineering experience developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products. Responsibilities include:

Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.

Supports IPT’s/SMTs and various supplier production sites with reviews of quality data for non-conformances working to identify root cause and corrective actions.

Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex.

Engage daily with LM sites to proactively work improvements and prevent issue occurrence.

Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.

Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001 / AS9100.

Evaluate the design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality.

Lead a group of supplier quality engineers while interfacing with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues.

Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.

Makes the final decision on acceptability of product.

Compile Quality proposal inputs for the program
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree level or above and/or equivalent experience/combined education

Engineering or Quality experience developing methods / processes, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products

Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related performance metrics

Experience leading a team or project

Experience working with suppliers

Ability to travel (typically around 25)
Desired Skills:
STEM/Engineering Degree Preferred

Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

Process Engineering experience

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)

Advanced AS9100 Interpretation and application experience.

Experience working with Government customers

Effective communication skills - written, oral, listening and technical writing

Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration

Experience with process capability analysis and interpretation, gage R&R, measurement system analysis

Advanced experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
