We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radar System and Effectiveness Evaluation Engineer to join our team and provide critical design data to several product lines related to Reentry Vehicle technologies. In this role, you will be responsible evaluating radar and optical signatures for various observables and categorize them in terms of operating characteristic curves. Evaluation of circular or elliptical polarized radar for transmit and receive multidirectional functions will be necessary, as well as evaluation of typical force penetration effectiveness studies. Responsibilities also will include evaluating the effectiveness of radar pulse compression and selection of waveforms in the presence of clutter and model observable signatures as Gaussian variables with defined means and variances. Knowledge of electronic approaches is desirable. Flight test measurement planning and design participation with materials and design elements necessary to achieve a specified signation will be part of the role.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate radar performance in multi-engagement environments.
- Perform data reduction on radar and optical signatures.
- Develop simulation programs to evaluate system.
- Perform planning and monitoring to ensure work scope, schedule, budget, and program metrics are well defined, maintained, and met.
