We have an exciting opportunity within our Engineering team for a Reliability Engineer. This is an exciting role within easyJet’s respected Reliability Programme. You will contribute to all aspects of Reliability and Technical Event Reduction including Predictive Maintenance of which easyJet are pioneers. You will be part of the fleet technical management team contributing to easyJet’s Continuous Airworthiness obligations under EASA Part ‘M’, focusing on the maximisation of safety, reliability and sustainability.

Reporting to the Technical Event Reduction and Reliability Team Leader, you’ll manages the Reliability system, implementing strategies to reduce technical events. They collaborate across Engineering, ensuring alignment with company policy and technical procedures, while fostering relationships with Fleet Engineers in various domains such as Airframe, Avionics, Components, Maintenance Programmes, Powerplant, and Structures. Their focus is on enhancing aircraft availability and system reliability, while upholding continued airworthiness standards.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Reliability Engineer at easyJet, your role involves producing monthly E&M Performance reports, Bi-monthly Reliability Reports, and Bi-monthly Findings out of Inspection (FOI) Reports. Youll provide mandatory Reliability data and monitoring functions to meet CAMO regulations. Utilising analytical, statistical, and lean techniques, youll identify opportunities to reduce Technical Events through historical event analysis. Additionally, youll review and edit Fleet Engineering data for Reliability Alert Comments, process EU261 compensation data, gather safety data for Reliability reports, and handle Component removal and No Fault Found (NFF) data. Your responsibilities also include preparing Airbus Benchmark statistics, working on projects to automate Reliability processes within the Skywise platform, and fulfilling additional tasks necessary for easyJets compliance with EASA Part-CAMO activities.

What you’ll need to do the role:

Ideally, candidates for this role should possess a recognised Degree in Aircraft/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent or demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience in Fleet Technical Management. Knowledge and familiarity with EASA Part-CAMO functions, airworthiness regulations, and legislation are essential. Proficiency in using AMOS is preferred, along with confidence in utilising Microsoft Office applications. Prior exposure to Skywise and experience in Data Programming are advantageous. The ideal candidate should exhibit motivation, commitment, and a passion for Continuous Improvement. They should also display flexibility, adaptability to change, and the capability to manage large and complex Data Systems and Processes. The ability to handle high workloads, understand various stakeholders in the Technical Reliability process, and effectively communicate actions is crucial. Candidates should be adept at identifying deficiencies, problem-solving, and collaborating cross-functionally to implement continuous improvement initiatives. A creative mindset, attention to detail, and tenacity to resolve issues to completion are key attributes for this role.

Location & Hours of Work

This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week.  We support hybrid working and we spend three days per week in the office.
