Lockheed Martin is looking for a Senior Satellite Systems Engineer to join our talented team in our Boulder, CO location. In this role, you will:

- Provide real time, operational support to various teams for the operation and maintenance of system software and equipment (identifying system problems, trouble shooting, and correcting both software and hardware failures)

- Conduct mission/program specific real time spacecraft/satellite flight operations during readiness, execution and evaluation phases

- Give technical guidance for on orbit mission support, plans for critical ground malfunctions and recommend alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support

- Deliver failure analysis of the performance of the ground telemetry data

- Utilizes system software to accomplish all spacecraft control tasks and recommends improvements

- Convey strong analytical and troubleshooting approach / skills as required

- Participate in software version testing and evaluation and provides feedback to the development and test community

- Assists Configuration Management in software upgrades and changes.

-Provide software maintenance support for Linux, AIX, PC compatible computers, and associated switching, network, and communications circuits and equipment.

- Work with Software Depot on software problems by providing feedback

- Provide database system administration support for multiple system databases.

- Provide UNIX / LINUX / Windows system administration support. Participates in software version testing and evaluation and provides feedback to the development and test community. Assists Configuration Management in software upgrades and changes.
Basic Qualifications:
Previous program Experience (SBIRS or other OPIR program); Experience with SBIRS, DSP, GEO, HEO
Satellite / Ground Systems operations experience; C2 System Anomaly Resolution experience
Experience with Shell Scripting, Perl, Python and databases; General knowledge/skill of UNIX and/or LINUX
Must be willing and able to support 24x7 operations Security + Certification

Be able to interpret complex system requirements

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Rotating 40 hour week as assigned by leader
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $82,200 - $157,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
