What are your contributions to the team?
- Lead and support your team members towards achieving the objectives set for the group. Our activities include notably introducing engineering-related design changes to the systems under our responsibility (Powerplant, APU, Fuel, Fuel Tank Inerting, Fire Detection & Extinguishing Systems), support investigation of in-service issues, provide engineering support to the production line for issues resolution, and support strategic initiatives
- Work with the team and other stakeholders to establish a plan for emerging projects
- Establish and maintain a governance covering the engineering team’s activities, being able to uncover challenges to address
- Support the Propulsion Knowledge Owner and Fellow in defining the Powerplant Knowledge Domain strategy, and ensure the associated plan gets realized
- Keep developing the team members under your responsibility, helping them with defining their development plan and support them with realizing it
- Ensure adequate engineering resources are allocated in support to current and future projects, per budget and schedule
- Hold performance review with team members
- Represent the team during management level reviews
How to thrive in this role?
- You have at a minimum a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering in a recognized University
- You have minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience within the scope of our activities
- You have strong technical competencies in our field (propulsion systems engineering)
- You have a good and demonstrated ability to lead people
- You are organized and able to prioritize tasks, and, have demonstrated your ability to manage complex projects in the past
- You are able to develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (for instance, Systems Suppliers)
