Job Overview: AV is looking for a multi-talented Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to provide engineering support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Production team. You will be focused on providing cloud technology expertise and guidance in evaluation of cloud architectures, designs, and implementations. Your work will involve interaction between the Government and Prime Contractors in support of MDAs M&S and integration and test programs on Amazon Web Service (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure, and you may be asked to analyze the integration of systems engineering processes and methodologies to ensure effectiveness of this work.
Job Description:
Develop and review Framework Software in the Cloud (SWIC) requirements
Develop and review Framework and Missile Defense System Interface Control Documents (ICD), to include Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) Ground Test Integrated System Simulation (GTISS)
Lead and facilitate technical discussions and collaboration activities with both internal and external stakeholders to include Prime Contractors and the Missile Defense elements
Actively participate in Framework, RepBox and Core Truth Modeling (CTM) Program Agile Software Development Increment Planning activities
Draft and review technical documents, briefings, white papers, etc.
Play a role in overall functional strategic planning of Framework, RepBox and CTM Systems Engineering (SE) processes within the organization
Job Qualifications:
Required:
MS degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) field
12years of relevant experience
Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
AWS Foundational and Associate level certifications and/or Azure Fundamentals and Associate level certifications
Knowledge of modeling and simulation (M&S) development
Experience with Agile and Lean software development principles
Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Leaning (ML) concepts and applications
Experience in software containerization development concepts and applications
Experience in M&S requirements development
Experience in M&S verification and validation
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
Desired:
AWS Professional and Specialty certifications and/or Azure Expert and Specialist certifications
Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) and Infrared (IR) signature models
Experience with environmental models and environmental states and effects
Experience with missile defense system (MDS) and/or threat system simulation and model testing processes
Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Experience with DoD and/or MDA acquisition and systems engineering
