Zur Unterstützung der Abteilung “Structure VTP Hamburg” sucht Airbus Aerostructures eine(n)

Als Senior Design Engineer VTP Structure (d/f/m) wirst Du der Abteilungsleitung als technischer Kompetenzträger direkt zur Seite stehen und das VTP intern und extern vertreten. Gleichzeitig wirst Du Teil unseres VTP Struktur Teams, das sich um die technische Steuerung von Projekten im Bereich der Primärstruktur des Vertical Tail Plane (VTP) für die Neu- und Weiterentwicklung der gesamten Single-Aisle- und WideBody-Familie sowie neuer Produkte kümmert. 

• Du setzt Deine Design-Erfahrung ein, um VTP Strukturentwicklungen technisch zu leiten und dem Team fachliche Guidance zu geben.

• Du treibst gemeinsam mit der Engineering Community technologische Änderungen und Konzepte voran und unterhältst und erweiterst permanent Dein (technisches) Netzwerk, um die VTP-Struktur und Architektur ständig zu verbessern.

• Du wirst die Prozesse, Methoden und Tools im VTP Strukturdesign weiterentwickeln und an zukünftigen Konzepten arbeiten. Dafür bleibst Du in enger Abstimmung mit der gesamten Strukturdesign Community.

• Du sorgst für eine interaktive Abstimmung und Kommunikation zwischen allen beteiligten Fachbereichen und Stakeholdern in unserer Projektumgebung, um  die notwendigen Inputs für neue Designkonzepte zu generieren, und unterstützt weitere Fachbereiche bei Bedarf.

• Du trägst aktiv zur Erstellung und Validierung von konzeptionellen Entwürfen und Machbarkeitsstudien bei und bist für die sichere Konstruktion nach dem neuesten Stand der Technik und für die effiziente und effektive Durchführung von Neuentwicklungen verantwortlich.

• Du führst unsere Supplier und baust ein verlässliches Supplier Umfeld im VTP Strukturdesign auf.

• Du führst aktiv den Aufbau von Produktwissen im VTP Design und treibst die Kompetenzentwicklung voran.

• Du hast einen Abschluss im Bereich Ingenieurwesen, in Luft- und Raumfahrt, Bauingenieurwesen oder eine auf anderem Wege erworbene vergleichbare Qualifikation 

• Du verfügst über praktische Erfahrung und tiefgreifende Kenntnisse von Composite- und Hybrid-Design-Prinzipien sowie Best Practices im Strukturdesign. Idealerweise hast Du bereits Erfahrung in den VTP Komponenten.

• Du verfügst über eine Approval Delegation im Design  

• Du hast Erfahrung in der Fertigung und Montage einschließlich Toleranz Definition, 

• Idealerweise verfügst Du über Projektmanagement-Grundlagen

• Du sprichst verhandlungssicher Englisch und Deutsch - jede weitere Sprache ist für uns ein Plus!

• Du hast Interesse und Spaß an Data Analytics und zukunftsorientierten Anwendungen

• Du hast den Drive, das VTP Strukturdesign der Zukunft fachlich zu leiten und technologische Veränderungen gemeinsam mit der weiteren Design-Community voranzutreiben

• Du hast Lust, die VTP Design-Prozesse und die Ausrichtung des VTP Design Teams mitzugestalten

• Du bringst Deine ausgeprägten Kommunikationsfähigkeiten und Deine Teamorientierung ins VTP Design-Team ein

As a Senior Design Engineer VTP Structure (d/f/m) you will act as a direct technical competence to the Head of the department and represent the VTP internally and externally. Likewise, you will be part of a team of development engineers taking care of the technical steering of projects in the Vertical Tail Plane (VTP) primary structure perimeter, for the new and incremental development of the complete Single Aisle, WideBody Family and A400M. 

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. • You will rely on your experience as a Designer to take over the technical management of associated projects and give technical guidance to the Design team

• You will drive an interactive alignment and communication in a multi-skill project environment (Design / Stress / Fatigue / Systems...) in order to generate the necessary inputs for a design concept, and to provide relevant support to other functions (i.e. production, customer support, program, chief engineering... ) as needed

• You will drive technological change and maintain the associated technical network to develop future concepts for VTP structure

• You will lead our suppliers and build up a reliable supplier network for the VTP Design

• You will be responsible for safe design in line with state-of-the-art technologies and in an efficient and effective manner for new developments 

• You will maintain skill state of the art operations and improve the Airbus capability to perform VTP design

• You will identify and foster improvements opportunities in VTP Design &39;Process, Methods & Tools&39; and define a strategy for future PMT and ways of working

• You will actively lead the Upskilling of the VTP Design Team and develop competences required for future technologies / architectures / products / new ways of working 

• You have an Engineering Degree in Aerospace, Civil Engineering  or comparable

• You have a deep knowledge of Composite- and Hybrid Design Principles and design best practices

• You hold Design Technical Approver Delegation

• You have experience in Manufacturing & Assembly including tolerance definition

• Ideally, you would have Project Management fundamentals 

• You are interested in Data Analytics and future-oriented applications

• You are fluent in German and English
   

• You are eager to drive technological changes and to technically lead the Design of VTP components

• You are motivated to shape our VTP Design processes and future orientation of our VTP Design team

• You have strong communication skills and the ability to work in and guide an international team

• You have an open and curious mindset as well as a practical “hands-on” approach
