The Senior Electronics Engineer will be a subject matter expert for electronics design, continuing engineering, and project management for the aviation emergency lighting systems and military/tactical products.  This person will work side-by-side with the Production Engineer to support continuing engineering, design for manufacturing, and introduction of new and re-designed product to the manufacturing floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Leads regular engineering meetings for continuing engineering and design projects
• Provides primary electronics design engineering new and existing products
• Works with Production Engineer to provide direct support of the manufacturing floor
• Supports quality for root cause and corrective action for products returned form the field
• Provides primary technical interface with customer for existing products.
• Manages activities of engineering technicians
• Provides electronic circuit and printed circuit board design working with consulting engineer
• Provides engineering project documentation for product design and qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BSEE)
• Advanced circuit design and troubleshooting capabilities to the board and component level
• Advanced printed circuit board design and related software experience
• Electro-mechanical interface design experience
• Excellent technical documentation skills including work instructions
• High level interpersonal and team building skills at staff and hourly levels
• Project management experience 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering support experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in electro-mechanical products design and manufacturing
• Experience with MRP, data base, BOM, project management, and spreadsheet programs
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D design programs and rapid prototyping/3D printing
• Proficiency in microprocessor and firmware coding
