Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $37.74-$42.74/Hour
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Analyze requirements documentation to develop validation methods and test descriptions
Develop and execute formal and informal test procedures to verify corrective changes
Conduct Verification & Validation (V&V) testing and support both customer-driven and internal test events
Identify, analyze, and document software, firmware, and hardware defects, collaborating with engineering teams to resolve issues
Configure test environments and labs based on technical drawings and network port maps
Install and checkout Information Assurance (IA) software; support troubleshooting at off-site locations
Participate in weekly technical and program meetings to align with project timelines and deliverables
Work directly with cross-functional engineering groups and DoD stakeholders to define, conduct, and interpret tests
Develop and analyze test cases and provide timely reporting of test progress and issues
Operate with a high level of autonomy, reporting to program management as needed
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Active or prior U.S. Navy experience as a Submarine Fire Control Technician (FT), Sonar Technician (ST), Electronics Technician (ET), or Information Systems Technician (IT); or Surface Navy experience
5–10 years of experience with AN/BYG-1 combat systems
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one technical domain with developing expertise in adjacent disciplines
Proficient in:
Software testing and defect analysis
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, encryption)
Basic Linux command-line operations
Ability to assemble and test computer systems
Experience with Strike Software tools such as TTWCS, TCIP, and MDS (preferred)
Some travel required, including support at government labs and domestic/international shipboard installations
